Amazing stay at the Dancing Angel Cottage...

I can not rave enough about the Dancing Angel Cottage! The accommodations were unbelievably charming. The cottage is the perfect size with the perfect decor. And you will not believe the view from cottage; it is truly breathtaking. And as far as the location, you can't ask for a more central location. It is an easy and scenic drive to Saugerties, Phoenicia, and of course minutes from the heart of Woodstock. The owner and the owner's rep are beyond helpful and nice. They have thought of everything to make their guests as comfortable as possible. I have stayed at many cabins/cottages/houses in upstate New York over the years and this is my favorite by far. The rental is dog-friendly; my pup had a great time as well. And so, I plan to return this summer and I am really looking forward to it. The Dancing Angel Cottage deserves 5 stars and more!

Super cute and cozy house. My wife and I stayed here with our baby daughter and really enjoyed it. Nice view of the reservoir and the surrounding hills. It is a short drive to Woodstock and other local attractions. The house is charming and has a nice secluded feel on a quiet road. We look forward to returning in the future.

We were very happy to have this cottage as a post-wedding getaway and enjoyed the solitude of the surrounding area. We enjoyed having dinner at The Bear Cafe and lunch at Oriole and found Woodstock to be a really charming town with a lively community hosting plenty of activities and events. The cottage was very quaint with beautiful views and the most amazing, comfortable bed. It had everything we needed for the few days we were there and my husband really enjoyed using the grill. It was a bit smaller than I imagined from the pictures and I was hoping for a slightly larger bath, but some of the compact aspects of the cottage added to its charm! We had a great time and the guestbook entries showed we weren't alone. Thanks very much to Babs and Judy!

The cottage was exactly as advertised, clean, well-maintained, and adequately appointed for a couple. The gas fireplace is a nice touch, much cleaner option when compared to a wood-burning one (no woodchips on the floor, soot, or lugging firewood from the shed in the rain). We liked the decor, light and unobtrusive (excepting the monumental installation of words (orders?) RELAX and LOVE), and unlike many other Catskills rentals thankfully free of dead animals, nailed to the walls. The WiFi worked seamlessly, and this cottage is probably is one of the last places on Earth to have a VCR (being an old guy I really enjoyed meeting another relict from before the flood). The customer/information service was excellent, prompt, flexible, and accommodating. Easy to get in and out by car, close to Woodstock (duh) and other attractions. Highly recommended.

We came to this cottage looking for a quiet place to spend a few days away from the city. We wanted to read, cook, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the Fall season. This was our first time booking a HomeAway cottage, rather than staying in a hotel and we didn't know what to expect. This cozy, happy little cottage was perfect! It was clean, well-equiped and perfectly organized. The bed was lush and soft, and the bathroom was spotless. We found gourmet cheese, fresh produce, and excellent meat in town, and grilled outside on the deck. The owner's dog stopped by a few times to check on us and to make sure we were comfortable, which was delightful! Needless to say, we highly recommend this cottage and would stay there again.
Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing.

This is perfect for a couple or small family. Clean, cute, well-kept, good location and nice deck! All was great with our experience with the cottage and the rental process.
Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

This cottage experience exceeded our expectations! The photos are very accurate....the cottage was immaculate and well appointed. It was easily accessible to all of the wonders of Woodstock and surrounding areas. The owners were very hospitable and I took advantage of the discount at their Health Spa in town for a wonderful massage. One night we actually watched the full moon rise from the beautiful deck......I highly recommend this rental and hope to return again soon.
